Gracie’s Life Experiment

Let the writing up ensue! After yesterday’s productive day I suddenly had the motivation to get on with my PhD write up. I’ve sorted out the structure and created a word doc for each chapter (nothing really in each doc except a few subheadings for the moment). Also I’ve created folders to act as silos for the work I’ve already done. Spent most of the afternoon transferring files into the relevant folders. Wow - I actually have a lot of stuff already. I need approx. 80k words which I think I must at least have now. The only thing now is to spend Friday (yeah I get Wed and Fri off each week now we’re in May before I go on maternity leave) starting to cut and paste things in. The fiddly annoying thing will be trying to make it look like I haven’t just cut and paste various documents together and make it look like a coherent argument.

Summary of the day: Woke up between 3am and 6am - naughty Shrimp was bored and dancing about in my tummy, Slept till 9 am, Got up starving & had a panini for brekkie, Started sorting out PhD work, Lunch (mmm cous cous salad), PhD file organising, Started on stewing dinner on low, Made beef, ginger & black bean with egg fried rice, Had a big poody and took it out on hubby (sowry), Had a long bath followed by some very grim exfoliation activities.
