Went out to Nottingham tonight with hubby’s work colleagues.  They’re such a cool bunch and very sociable.  Seems like a really cool place to work.  Went to the Malt Cross pub, which is a massive vaulted glass ceilinged pub.  It has a smallish bar and serves great hot chocolate (with soya milk too, hurray).  Best of all it doesn’t have loud radio music playing so you don’t have to shout.  The ceiling is amazing, and it was suddenly really grey and started to rain and it was doing funny stuff to the daylight coming through.

Oh yes, the title of this post…. after the pub we went to Lisa’s place for dinner.  She made a fabulous lasagne (my favourite food, just call me Garfield).  It was really tasty, the pasta was smooth and the top crunchy, yummy!  We also had a sort of mezze starter with ciabatta, cold meats, peppers and ricotta.  I have come to the conclusion that my taste buds have definitely changed as I find vinegar less sharp and more sweet tasting.

Summary of the day:  Went to Tesco (for some reason I had an obsessive craving for Tonkatsu), Made some tonkatsu, Relaxed, Went to Nottingham, Had a lovely dinner.
