It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas December 7, 2007

It’s been a bit bah humbug in our house. We spent so long moaning about Christmas things appearing in the shops so early, now it’s actually got to December we’re late to get into the swing of things. We put the Christmas tree up tonight. Had some cheesy Chrimbo music on the stereo and happily put up the tree with the same old decorations (same ones we got 5 years ago in our first home). The tree doesn’t look any worse this year (I don’t like the fluffy chintzy tinsel and just have it plain with beads, baubles and bows).
Summary of the day: Work, Interviewed someone, Madly finished writing my conference paper, Got all the relevant forms signed ready to upload the paper, Found I couldn’t find the final copy of the paper I just saved, Pulled out the draft hard copy out of the recycling and retyped 1/2 of it up, Submitted with about an hr to spare!! Gave a piano lesson, Put up the Christmas tree.
