Student Rage October 1, 2007

Well it was the first day of term with all the students back. Within 5 minutes of leaving the house I have student rage already. Reasons for the rage…
- The roads are all clogged up because the crossing keeps going red for traffic. It backs up even 3 roundabouts away
- They’re walking all over the roads on campus (except where the zebra crossings are)
- All the cash machines on campus are empty
- They’re cycling the wrong way down the road into oncoming traffic
- There’s no parking spaces, and cars are abandoned on the road/pavement
- The first bout of proper freshers’ flu is starting to migrate down the office
- There are emails clogging up my inbox asking for this, that and the other
Calm, calm, think nice thoughts. On the other hand I managed to get myself re-registered as a student again (probably my last year). Loving how I can be a pseudo-student when I feel like it (member of staff and part-time student).
Summary of the day: Sat in traffic, queued to re-register, lots of planning/catching up at work, Shouted at temperamental internet banking, Played sudoku, Listened to John playing piano
